This month's trading comes with a difficult decision. I will stop trading the Trend Following account because of the following two reasons:

1. The system was designed to be taking short only trades without interruptions. Unfortunately for me, the interruptions (burglary) came at the same time as the big down trends. I am at fault because I should have resumed trading on a VPN service. I had been running the system on a VPN for 2 years but stopped after the provider increased their monthly fee. After that, I used one of my old laptop to run the system instead of finding another VPN provider. In hindsight, it was the wrong decision.

2. My partner and I have recently purchased a house together. We need to put aside some money to renovate the house before moving in. I'm going to put the available funds in the account towards this project.

If you have been following my trading videos then you would see that I have switched over to options trading in the last 6 months. My trades are taken once a month and expire the following month. I have uploaded the account statement as proof of my work.

My plan is to make 2 videos per month: one to show the trades as I take them live and the other to discuss the results of last month's trades. The reality of trading is that life will get in the way but I am determined to make it work.

This has been an eventful month in my life. My home was burglarised. Among many items stolen were my trading laptops which runs the trend following system. Consequently, the system had to be put on hold. I had to call my brokers to close out all active positions. I will need to buy a laptop that can be dedicated to running the system 24/5. So for now, it is not trading.

Likewise, there was no options trading for this month. I hope that I can resume trading in May once I have recovered from this event. It has been a traumatic experience for my family.

February 2018 performance summary

Here are my performances for February 2018. Performance summary and account statement pages have been updated. 

-1.26% on Trend Following account

The system has been in AUDJPY short since late January and currently still holding onto the position. Trailing stop loss has yet to be hit. This will be a big winner when it's eventually closed out.

On the options side, I have been doing monthly trades with expiration around the middle of the month. Here's what my account has been doing for February:

I have started options trading on a monthly basis in January. I will be posting my trading account statement once I can figure out how to get a PDF statement from SaxoTrader2. It's a new platform and I'm still learning how to use it.
